The Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide has challenged the police to arrest and prosecute the killers of a 28-year-old teacher trainee graduate in Banda.
Abdul Malik Kweku Baako said the police force must be held accountable to deliver justice and get to the bottom of the matter.
“I appeal to the Ghana Police, this is not the beginning but this might not be the last to. Please, can they investigate this particular incident and apprehend the perpetrators and for once prosecute, it is important,” he appealed.
Silas Wulochamey met his untimely death after he was allegedly stabbed by some people believed to be NPP activists at Banda Kabrono.
The violence that led to his tragic death is as a result of the voter registration exercise as both the NDC and NPP in the Banda district accuses each other of wrongdoing.

Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile talk show Saturday, Mr Kweku Baako noted that violence has characterised every electoral process in the country since 1996.
He explained that the problem remains unresolved because the culprits are not made to face the full rigors of the law hence the continuity of such occurrences.
“In spite of the introduction of biometric technology, the challenges remain in different forms. Because we treat it as a political thing, we have sown the seeds for impunity,” Kweku said.
He cited Nation Security reports on previous Voter ID registration processes which had cases of violent clashes to support his argument.
Meanwhile, the Banda Traditional Council has issued an ultimatum to the government and the Police to as a matter of urgency arrest the people responsible for the murder of Silas.
