From next month till July next year, "Barclays Bank will send a customer each month to the United Kingdom to watch the English Premier League live in a special promotion dubbed: "the Barclays Premier League Promotion."
The one-time experience is to offer customers the opportunity to have face-to-face familiarity with their favourite football icons.
At the launch yesterday in Accra, the director of Customer Banking of Barclays, Nana Benneh, said the criteria for qualification into the monthly draw were for a customer to operate an all-in-one account and make a withdrawal once a month with the ATM card to get the chance.
The winner at the end of each raffle will be presented with two tickets to the UK in an all-expenses-paid trip to watch the game.
The Managing Director of Barclays Bank, Benjamin Debrah, who launched the promotion said a special branded ATM card has been introduced to enhance the promotion and to make customers and indeed, Ghanaians football fans, feel a sense of belonging.
He said today almost every popular pub and spot, especially in major cities in Ghana, show some of the English Premier League matches which attest to the popularity of the game.
Subsequently, the MD said Barclays has resolved to excite its customers in different ways this year in the promotion, as well as show gratitude to the people who are the pillars behind the bank.
Two years ago, the bank took some loyal customers who won prizes in a similar promotion to England to watch some exciting matches.
