The Minority Leader, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, says Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia cannot be absolved from the economic challenges facing the country.
The Ajumako Enyan Essiam lawmaker stressed that Dr Bawumia has played a significant role in shaping the economy as the head of the Economic Management Team.
In a post on Sunday, February 4, Dr Ato Forson maintains that attempts by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to deflect blame from Dr Bawumia, citing the upcoming December elections, will not be effective.

He insists that Ghanaians are vigilant and will not be deceived into making an error in voting for Dr. Bawumia as president.
"After supervising the biggest economic mess in Ghana, the NPP now wants us to believe Bawumia has been cleansed, all in their push for him to become President."
Dr. Ato Forson's remarks come in the wake of a plea by Kofi Bentil, the Vice President of IMANI Africa.
In a write-up, Mr Bentil called on Ghanaians to attentively listen to the NPP flagbearer during his scheduled public lecture on February 7.
Mr Bentil emphasised that Dr. Bawumia, having never been president before, deserves an opportunity, akin to the chance given to John Mahama in 2012.
He expressed confidence in Dr Bawumia's potential as a good president, urging Ghanaians to consider voting for him in the upcoming December elections.
"We gave Prez Mahama a chance to be President, the least we can do is give Dr Bawumia a fair and objective hearing. He is not President, and has never been President! I have no doubt he will be better!"
