Dutch-born international of Ghanaian descent, Jeremie Frimpong, has touched down in Ghana for a visit.
The Bayer Leverkusen man arrived in Ghana on Sunday night to a wholesome welcome at the Kotoka International Airport.
The fullback is expected to be in Ghana for one week during which he will undergo several activities.
“To come and meet this welcoming atmosphere for the first time is amazing. These are my people and I am so happy to see everybody and I am happy to be in Ghana,” he told the media upon his arrival.
“I have always been connected to my Ghanaian roots. Both my parents are Ghanaians, I eat Ghanaian foods and I speak the language so I feel like I’ve always been connected.”
The right-back also mentioned he is undertaking a project in Ghana which also forms part of his visit to the country.
“I have a project called Pathways, operating in Ghana here so of course we have to bring something to the homeland,” he added.
“I have the project here and it’s going to be an amazing one.”
