Black Queens midfielder Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah says the thought of playing at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) is a 'big achievement' for her.
The England-based midfielder made her debut for the national team under Kim Lars Bjorkegren earlier this year and made the Black Queens squad for the tournament to be staged in Morocco next month.
Chantelle has been with the national team since March and has had a five-game experience under her belt since coming into the team.
"Personally, it's a big achievement to be going, hopefully, to a major competition, especially representing Ghana as well with the girls and everything that is part of the nation," she said.
"As I say, it's the motherland for me. So, to go and represent Ghana at a major tournament myself feels amazing. I'm lost for words, to be honest, just grateful for the opportunity, and hopefully I can show that I am wearing the shirt with pride and make the country proud."

She also revealed she had zero doubts about choosing Ghana over any other country.
"For me, straight away, my first thought was obviously to represent and to make Ghana be spoken about in a very, very good light in women's football," she continued.
"So personally, my goals and aspirations for that are to represent and win as many games as we can. But also to hopefully become a legend for the Ghana women's national team.
"Someone that people can look up to. The young generation can see my route through European football, and they can also see that, as well as representing Ghana at the national level."
The delayed 2024 WAFCON kicks off on July 5 with Ghana in Group C alongside defending champions, South Africa, Tanzania and Mali.
