The event which was put together by Primeval Media, organizers of the Farewell Match was to reward the highest texter of the SMS program which was to select players into the ‘Dream Team’ to play against the Black Stars before their departure to Holland on Saturday.
After weeks of serious texting from Ghanaians from all over the country, Madam Doris Quaye emerged as the highest texter as she managed to send more SMS’s.
For her prize, she took home a Samsung 40-inch flat screen television.
Madam Doris who spoke sportscrusader.com after the event mentioned that she was thrilled with her prize adding that until she gets home to plug and switch on the tv, she will not recover from the shock as she never believed in ‘text and win’ programs.
“Actually I didn’t want to participate but I just wanted to text so that my player (name withheld) will just be part of the Black Stars Farewell Match and here I am with a television set. I was shocked when I received the call from the organizers that I had been adjudged the highest texter and until I get home and switch on the TV, I don’t think this shock will leave”, Madam Doris mentioned on a lighter note.
She praised Primeval Media, the organizers of the Farewell Match for coming up with the idea and gave special praise to its CEO, Larry Opare Otoo for the manner in which he has organized the entire program and prayed for its success.
