The Black Stars are to open camp on Monday ahead of Zambia clash
Ghana will start their training today (Monday) in preparation for Friday’s all-important World Cup qualifier against Zambia.
Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah will supervise his first training at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of the match in Kumasi.
The Ghana players have shown a strong desire to crush the Zambian opposition with swift arrivals for the match which is just four days away.
Captain Asamoah Gyan and goalkeeper Fatau Dauda are among the players who arrived early for the camp and will be available for training in the evening.
Other players in camp are Kwadwo Asamoah, Mubarak Wakaso, Christian Atsu and the South African-based Fatau Dauda, Awal Mohammed and Rashid Sumaila.
Micheal Essien has also arrived in the country ahead of the Black Stars final group qualifier only to be met with news of his father’s death.
It is not known if he will be excused from the qualifier.
The Chelsea ace is making a return to the national team after almost two years out with various niggling injuries and withdrawing from national team call ups.
