The National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Yaw Boateng Gyan has dared the outspoken NPP Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, to reveal his source of wealth if he had nothing to hide.
According to Mr. Boateng Gyan if Ken Agyepong was in the Western world he would have been compelled to name his source of wealth due to the numerous properties he possesses and boasts of.
Responding to comments by Ken Agyepong who earlier on instigated that he (Boateng Gyan) was a thief, the NDC National Organizer said he is never a thief and reiterated that the 4x4 Toyota Lexus he is using is an official vehicle and not a gift from the embattled businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
Speaking on kokrokoo on Peace FM, Ken Agyepong claimed he has a list of various NDC gurus who benefited from the payment of the infamous judgment debt to businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome. He also cited the Office of the President as also being a beneficiary.
The MP was quoted as saying Mr. Boateng Gyan is one of those who benefited from Woyome's largesse.
But Mr. Gyan has strongly refuted this allegation, insisting that he is clean.
He said he is not perturbed by threats from Ken Agyepong and challenged the Assin North MP to come out clean and name his source of wealth.
Mr. Gyan had explained on Wednesday on Adom FM's Dawso Nsem Programme that the 4x4 Lexus vehicle he is using is an official vehicle given to him in 2009.
His explanation was in response to allegation made by Ken Agyapong that Gyan was using a luxurious vehicle which is a gift from the embattled businessman Woyome.
The NPP Member of Parliament for Okere, Dan Kwaku Botwe, is also calling on the NDC to produce accounts of how monies were raised to buy those luxurious cars for the executives of a party that claims to be social democrats.
He also challenged the media to investigate the source of funding for the various political parties including the ruling NDC.
