The Ministry of Youth and Sports has made public the full breakdown of expenditure for the Black Stars for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.
The decision to reveal the break down was after public demand to know how the cabinet approved GHS 24 million will be spent.
Below is the breakdown of the budget.
Government has approved a budget of GH¢24,677,025.00 for the Ghana’s participation in the Tournament. Out of this, an amount of GH¢10,500,000 has been earmarked for the qualifying stages of the Tournament. A further amount of GH¢14,177,025 has also been budgeted to cover the team’s expenses when they qualify for subsequent stages of the completion.
This comes up to US$ 9,870,810 in dollar terms.

This budget covers the following:
(a) 23 Players who will be selected to play for the team in the Tournament.
(b) 10 member technical team comprising the Head Coach, two Assistant Coaches, a Team Doctor, a Physiotherapist, a Masseur, Welfare Officer, a Kits Manager, Video Analyst as well as Psychologist;
(c) 10 other supporting staff comprising a Team Administrator, a Media Officer, a Protocol Officer, an extra Doctor, an extra Physiotherapist, a Therapist, two National Security Operatives, two Caterers and a Drummer/Entertainer; and
(d) Management and other officials.
