Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi has ruled out a transfer away from the club for Ghana international Tariq Lamptey.
According to the Italian, the Ghanaian is expected to be back to his best in the coming weeks after suffering from injury setbacks in the last year.
Lamptey is yet to play a competitive game for the Seagulls since March and only resumed team training during the pre-season where he was involved in the club's Premier League Summer Series in America.
The right-back played for the club's U-21 side in their win over Chelsea in the Premier League 2 and De Zerbi has now tipped the Ghanaian to play a key role for the team.
"[Tariq Lamptey] can reach the best physical condition before the three games per week," the Italian boss said.
"When we start to play three games per week, we will need everybody."
Tariq has also not featured for the Black Stars since the 2022 FIFA World Cup and missed the March and June Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Madagascar.
