Spokesperson for New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful Dr. Bryan Acheampong has described the former Agriculture Minister as a ready-made solution for the party as it heads into its January 31 presidential primaries.
Speaking on Friday during Dr. Acheampong’s campaign visit to the Ningo-Prampram Constituency, Pious Hadzie likened the aspirant to a popular local food product, saying he represents a complete and dependable option for the party at a critical time.
“There is a food product on the market called Kivo gari. It already contains sugar; there is gari and there are groundnuts. All you need to do is add water,” he said.
Drawing the comparison further, Mr. Hadzie argued that the NPP similarly has its own “Kivo gari” in Dr. Acheampong, whom he described as a blend of business acumen, intellectual depth, and political capacity.
“In the NPP as well, we have our own Kivo gari. We have a businessman who is also an intellectual, someone with the ability to bring the party together,” he stated.
According to him, Dr. Acheampong’s personal resources and experience place him in a unique position to support the party and its members, especially during challenging moments.
“God has blessed him with wealth, so that in times of need and difficulty, party members can be supported,” Mr. Hadzie added.
The comments come as Dr. Acheampong intensifies his campaign activities with just two weeks to the NPP’s presidential primaries, engaging party delegates and grassroots supporters across constituencies to rally backing for his bid.
