Algerian side ES Setif have sworn to give Aduana Stars a hostile reception when they head over for the second leg of their CAF Champions League game.

Having lost 0-1 to the Ghanaian champions on Monday, the seasoned African campaigners claimed to have been maltreated. 

"ES Setif players were attacked and robbed in Ghana!", the team wrote on its official Facebook page.

"These circumstances, and the strange penalty will not force us to protest or complain because we are used to such behaviours in Algeria or inside the continent. The second leg game, we will treat them (Aduana Stars) as they did to us".

The Dormaa-based side had struggled to break their visitors' resolve throughout the game, before a penalty decision was given on 74 minutes. Striker Sam Adams converted to give the Ghanaians a slim advantage.

But right after the game, Setif boss Abdelhak Benchika (pictured) heatedly told pitchside reporters he was not satisfied with the way things had gone.

"Look, the fact of the matter is that the pitch was poor, and the officiating was terrible. Very bad refereeing."

Benchika made no mention of being attacked at any point during their trip from Accra (where they landed) to the Brong Ahafo Region.

On their part, Aduana Stars have expressed disappointment about the "outright lies" by their Algerian counterparts. 

The second leg is on March 16.
