Dreams Football Club have departed Accra for Cairo ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup semi-final first-leg match against Egyptian giants Zamalek.
The Still Believe side are set to arrive in Egypt to begin preparations for the game on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Cairo International Stadium.
The team, managed by coach Abdul Karim Zito, are hoping to reach the Confederation Cup final for the first time in African football.
The FA Cup winners have exceeded expectations after a remarkable campaign that saw them defeat some of Africa's top clubs.
Dreams advanced to the last after defeating former Confederation Cup champions Stade Malien in the quarterfinals.
Prior to that, they topped Group C of the competition, defeating Tunisian heavyweights Club Africain and Nigeria's Rivers United.
The Dawu-based club became the first team since Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko in 2004 to reach an Africa inter-club competition semifinal.
