The Electoral Commission (EC) has said that mounting of platforms for district level elections continue as scheduled.This is contrary to media reports that the activities had been suspended.
A statement signed by Mr Kwadwo Sarfo-Kantaka, Deputy Chairman in Charge of Operations at the EC, said the attention of the EC had been drawn to a news item in the early hours of December 17, 2010 that stated that platform mounting for district level elections had been suspended.
"The commission wishes to inform the general public that platform mounting and all other activities connected with the district level elections continue as scheduled."Source: GNA
