A lady walks into a shop with the sole priority of purchasing a new bag for work or school, in an attempt to find that perfect bag, her eyes fall on a very beautifully made shirt in her favorite color.
She immediately visualizes how it would match well with her pair of jeans and how it would feel stepping out in that shirt. She purchases it. Very often we watch many makeover documentaries on our television and see the transforming journey of how a woman is chosen and given a whole package of a spa treat and makeover to make her feel beautiful.
During the process it is easy to notice how the woman glows with joy because of how she is feeling. After the appearance makeover, we see family of the lady or sometimes a boyfriend or husband confesses to how beautiful she is looking. So the questions are….. Can beauty be bought? And how can a lady make herself feel beautiful?
Many people in the arts, be it fashion, cosmetics, literature or painting have claimed beauty to be an art or simply art itself. Thinking of beauty in a more abstract form, the achievement of beauty continues to be the major motive behind all kinds of art.
Art is both taking and giving of beauty, and the creator of beauty is art which in the end is a measure of emotions. Women are the embodiment of beauty in our world today. So indirectly, in everything done, the achievement of the quality of the woman is priority. Looking at it from this angle; If beauty is art and art is to be made with necessary available material, then beauty Cant beauty be bought? Going back to the example raised at the beginning of the article, beauty was purchased to make a woman beautiful. Beauty then can be purchased.
The skirt, shoe, or trousers you have on are all beautiful things making you look beautiful, possibly enhancing your natural beauty. One might argue form the point of view that these are all beauty enhancers and that true beauty cannot be bought but rather comes from within. Another party will agree with this idea but point out the fact that these take care of only the outward beauty. They might go on to say people can buy all the things in the world and look beautiful but at the end of the day still feel miserable.
All these opinions are very true. Why then do we so often repaint a house when the colour fades, if the house is beautiful, what’s the use of repainting? Why do we often buy new clothes when our favorite ones are worn out? Why do we find personal appearance a very vital part of our lives? Women after all are naturally beautiful so why go through all the trouble? The answer is simple, like everything, beauty has to be maintainedand even though it is already there it can be enhanced.
It is therefore important to invest in ones self. People will only feel miserable on the inside after looking like a million dollars if they do not know who they really are. These women have not understood the beauty and womanhood they have within. Most of the time, they feel good in whatever beautiful thing they have on, because no matter what, when one invests in their looks, they look more attractive. The truth is no one is ever going to feel good if they do not know who they are. No woman has been 100% beautiful without knowing and accepting herself.
There is joy in being a woman, beauty in being a woman; no woman has ever been able to fully express her beauty without fully knowing and accepting who she is. That is the secret of achieving true beauty. In being truly you and enhancing who you are without apologies, you are inwardly accept yourself and feel comfortable regardless, you are beautiful.
Looking back at some of the Lux ambassadors; Elizabeth Taylor, Marylyn Monroe Genevieve Nnaji, Sandra Dee among many others. It is easy to notice that these are women who have mastered the art of knowing themselves.
They are unapologetically and powerfully women and this is naturally revealed through confidence. It is very easy to distinguish between women who are beautiful on the outside and genuinely feel so on the inside and women who may look beautiful on the outside but are not feeling so on the inside because they truthfully do not know who they are.
Lux is not just soap, but an everyday symbolic reminder to women to love her state of being a woman; it gives a feel of pleasure that allows women know what is to be herself. Investing in ones beauty is very important no matter how we see it. If it is getting that lux soap that helps spark your beauty or obtaining knowledge on courtesy and manners to better your inward beauty, either way, there is the need for investment to feel and look beautiful.
