The Governor General of Canada, His Excellency the Right Honorable David Johnston, has hinted that more Canadian companies would soon be coming to Ghana to do business in the areas of oil, gas and the financial sector.
He stated that big players in these institutions in Canada are looking for other markets to invest, and hence Ghana will be a natural market to select because of strong relations Ghana has built with Canada over the years.
Canada already has some investments in the country in the areas of Transport, Energy generation and the mining sector.
The Governor who is in the country for a three day state visit tols Joy Business the decision to explore these areas has been influenced by the returns made so far by companies that have invested in the country as well as the economic environment.
His Excellency the Right Honorable David Johnston lauded Ghana’s rule of law and intimated it is the right atmosphere for the protection of investments.
