Some Ghanaian celebrities have rallied behind Moesha Budoung’s brother to raise funds for the actress and social media star after she suffered a stroke.
The celebrities including Efya, Fella Makafui, Serwaa Amihere and Akuapem Poloo, called on Ghanaians to donate to the actress’ GoFundMe, which would go to pay for her medical expenses as she recovers.
Taking to her X account, Efya noted that she believes with efforts from everyone, enough money can be raised to help the actress.
“Urgent: ‼️‼️ Let's rally together and make a difference! Our dear friend Moesha has faced a sudden stroke, and we need your help. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to provide crucial financial aid for their recovery journey.”
“Every donation counts in this battle against adversity. Please join us in supporting Moesha and their family during this challenging time. Together, we can make a meaningful impact,” Efya’s post read.

Additionally, actress Akuapem Poloo also took to her social media handle to empathise with her colleague.
Calling for more support, she wrote “Oh sis, I didn’t know things had gotten this serious. God, please have mercy and heal my sis @moeshaboduong for me. Fam, please in any way we can help to support her so she gets better, please with God, let’s do it. Our sister needs our help now.”
TV personality Serwaa Amihere also shared the screenshot of the GoFundMe page on her X (formerly Twitter) handle. “Let’s all support,” she wrote.

Again, actress Fella Makafui took to her Instagram to call on her followers to support, praying “May God reward all helping hands.”
This comes after Ebito Bodoung, a brother of Ghanaian socialite Moesha Bodoung, announced that his sister had suffered a stroke.
In a statement published on a GoFundMe account created in his name on January 22, 2024, for the showbiz personality, Ebito indicates that Moesha's condition has affected her ability to move and talk.
He is, therefore, requesting that the public assist him in footing bills incurred as a result of Moesha's sickness.
So far, an amount of $1563 out of a target of $10,000 has been donated to the account.
Meanwhile, this call for help has created a mixed reaction on social media. While some people are ready to help, others argue that her flashy lifestyle and her rich friends should be able to provide ample resources to cover her medical expenses without resorting to a crowdfunding campaign.
Don’t judge Moesha just support her if you can… if you can’t don’t try to stop others from doing so. Nobody perfect and nobody knows the future…
