A member of Parliament for Weija Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey nearly took a heavy fall in Parliament after the chinese chair she was sitting on broke down, Wednesday.
The china chair was part of many others which were fitted only yesterday.
The MPs were introduced to a new ultramodern facility with newly fitted chairs and consoles.
Member of Parliament for Lower West Akim, Gifty Klenam did not understand why a brand new chair would break down just a day after it was fitted.
And she would not buy suggestions by Joy FM's Parliamentary correspondent, Elton John Brobbey that the chair may have been broken due to the weight of Ayorkor Botchwey.
"Ayorkor Botchway is a slim fitted lady. Pressure from where? As soon as it happened she drew my attention that 'i am falling' and I said 'get up'! This is what happened," she said.
She cannot tell whether the brand new chairs were first, second or third grade China products, except to conclude that if the chair can breakdown a day after it was fitted she can imagine what will happen to them in six months.
