The failure of High Court judge, Justice John Ajet Nassam to appear before a judicial inquiry to respond to allegations of bribery may amount to waving his right to be heard.
According to Samson Lardy Anyenni, Justice Ajet Nassam may have concluded that he has "absolutely no defence” after investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas filmed him and 33 other judges taking bribes.
Reports have emerged that Justice Ajet Nasam is yet to submit himself to the Chief Justice's Investigative Committee set up last August when the scandal broke.
In setting up the 5-member committee, Chief Justice Mrs. Georgina Theodora Wood promised to “swiftly and decisively apply appropriate sanctions” if judges implicated in a bribery scandal were found guilty.

But JOY NEWS has learnt that a search has been underway in the last 24 hours to locate the suspended judge and get him to appear before the investigative committee Thursday at 10am.
The committee was compelled to adjourn its proceedings on Tuesday after John Ajet Nassam failed to appear before it.
A fresh date, Thursday has been given for him to appear before the committee.
The Chief Justice's Investigative Committee has published in the Daily Graphic a public notice asking him to appear before the committee or the committee will proceed without him.
Commenting on the development, Samson Anyenini, suspects the judge may be avoiding the committee because he has “nothing to say”.
Samson argued that irrespective of the absence of any implicated judge, the process will go on and the final decision will be deemed binding on the suspects.
Justice Ajet Nassam has been at the end of butt jokes on social media since the scandal broke last month. He is one of the mot recognisable of the implicated judges after he ruled in a judgment debt scandal involving Alfred Woyome.
Justice Ajet Nassam famously acquitted businessman Alfred Adgesi Woyome on criminal charges of defrauding the state to the tune of 51 million cedis.
Unconfirmed reports say that the implicated judge tried to tender in his resignation as a High Court after the exposé, but the Chief Justice (C.J) Georgina Theodora Woode rejected his resignation.
