Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwah, has defended the credibility of his latest survey on the Ayawaso East parliamentary contest, describing the findings as reliable and based on solid data.
Speaking on JoyNews’ Desk on Monday, 2 March, Mr Dankwah said the methodology used for the poll was thorough and scientifically sound.
The survey, commissioned by Baba Jamal of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), sampled 976 voters.
“With a sample size of 976 voters, the poll has a 95% confidence level,” he explained. “This means we are 95% confident that the outcome we are projecting will reflect what happens on Tuesday.”
The poll projects Baba Jamal winning with 75% of the votes, Mr Dankwah revealed.
“Our data shows Baba Jamal winning with 75%,” he stated.
When asked about the margin of error and public confidence in the findings, Mr Dankwah emphasised that the research methods make the poll highly dependable:
“The poll has a 95% confidence level — 95 per cent,” he stressed.

Responding to concerns that opinion polls could influence voter behaviour, he rejected suggestions that the survey was meant to sway voters:
“We are simply presenting the data. This is not about influencing anyone. Based on our data, we are 95% confident that this projection will materialise on Tuesday.”
The Ayawaso East parliamentary race has attracted significant attention ahead of Tuesday’s vote, with the seat considered a key battleground. Political analysts say the outcome will test party strength and grassroots mobilisation in the constituency.
Mr Dankwah added that while factors such as voter turnout, party mobilisation, and last-minute developments can affect elections, the current figures show a strong and clear lead:
“This is not a small margin. This is a strong vote,” he stressed.
The constituency is expected to draw keen interest as voters head to the polls on Tuesday.
