Retired Commissioner of Police (Rtd), Nathan Kofi Boakye, has been spotted in the campaign team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He was first seen at the spot where the flagbearer's convoy took off for the "Building Ghana Tour" in the Ashanti Region on January 24, 2024.

Kofi Boakye also made an appearance at the Kejetia Market where John Mahama addressed the crowd as the NDC embarked on the "24-Hour Economy Walk" aimed at sensitising the public on the policy.
The former police commissioner refused to speak to JoyNews when he was approached at the Kejetia Market.

He was later seen on the podium at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi where John Mahama made a final speech to end the walk.
COP Kofi Boakye was once the police commander for the Ashanti Region.
He was admired by many in the region for his works, resulting in the nickname ‘Commander 1’.
