President of the Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku Mantey has revealed that his outfit is hoping to film a drama to help in educating people about the coronavirus pandemic.
He said the measure has become necessary after realising many people remember information they see than what they hear.
He told Andy Dosty, on Daybreak Hitz, on Hitz FM, that they are hopeful that through drama, the reality of the novel coronavirus would be shown to people who are still doubtful of its existence.
“When we are able to put the thing in pictures, we let them have some mental picture. After watching the whole thing, it sticks and it makes the campaign easier,” Mr Okraku Mantey stated.
The Creative Arts Council president disclosed that in other aspects of the education, they are looking to use celebrities who have ties to a particular area to help in the campaign.
Using Bukom Banku as an example, he applauded government for educating the boxer who had doubts about the virus, which in turn made him a Covid-19 ambassador in Bukom.
Mr Okraku Mantey added more celebrities who are influential in areas across the country would be used to help in the coronavirus campaign.
“If you take Yvonne Nelson and put her on TV to communicate to a Bukom person, they won’t get it.
"Language is a big deal and the one that you are using to speak that language, if it connects to the people, the job is 80% done.”
