Dalex Finance and Leasing Company Limited announced today that David Obuamah has been appointed new chairperson of the Dalex Board of Directors.
An experienced finance professional and business leader, David Obuamah will succeed Alex Bruks.
In his farewell statement, Alex Bruks said, “I have been Founder and Chairman of Dalex since inception. Together, we have created a company that stands proud in the Ghanaian financial sector. Dalex business strategy and culture are world-class.
"We have delivered growth and employment to over 5,000 individuals and have provided valued services to over 500,000 individuals and companies. After 15 years, it is now time for me to move on.”
Alex Bruks declared that “I have no doubt that David Obuamah is the excellent choice to lead the outstanding cadre of Board Members, CEO, Management, and staff of our great company into an even brighter and more prosperous future.”
David Obuamah is a successful management/financial accountant with a proven record of leading the successful implementation of financial and management systems in both the private and public sectors of the United Kingdom and Ghana.
The new Chairperson has held senior management positions with the Croydon Council, Surrey and Sussex Probation Trust, and the Buckinghamshire County Council in the United Kingdom.
He returned to Ghana to hold executive positions in the Controller and Accountant General’s Department of Ghana and Hedge Pensions Trust.
Dalex is the leading non-bank finance house in Ghana with a reputation for security digital lending.
