A 63-year-old woman, Francisca Dzisi has been accused by a supposed pastor, Peter Ofori of witchcraft at Sovie in the North Dayi District of the Volta Region.
The supposed man of God allegedly came to the family house of the woman, stayed for three days and said God has revealed to him that, there is a pot under a bed in the house.
The daughter of the accused, Celestine Sitsoƒe Dordoye has since reported the case to the Police and the accused person with some siblings of the supposed witch have been arrested and arraigned before the Kpando Magistrate court.
It would be recalled that on the 25th of November, 2022, a supposed 37-year-old man of God, Pastor Peter Ofori was arrested and arraigned before the Kpando magistrate court for allegedly branding 63-year-old Madame Francisca Dzisi, as a witch.
The pastor mixed some oils with wine, smearing it on the face of the accused and dug some pot out from the compound. He said the pot causes death and misfortune in their family.
He also picked another pot wrapped in a red calico under her bed while hitting her to confess to being a witch on the 5th of November the same year.
Pastor Peter Ofori has since been arraigned.
After investigations, three siblings of Madame Francisca Dzisi who are; Emmanuel Dzisi, James Dzisi and Professor Komla Agbeko Dzisi have been cited for conniving with the said man of God to brand Madame Francisca as a witch.
Celestine Dordoye said she has confidence in the Ghana Police Service and the judicial system while emphasising that she wants justice served to her mother and other women that might be going through the same ordeal.
Pastor Peter Ofori was arrested on 25th November, 2022, granted bail on 27th November and arraigned before court on 28th November, 2022.
He was remanded in Police custody and was granted another bail on 30th November, 2022.
Meanwhile, Mr. James and Mr. Emmanuel have been arrested and their statements were taken, but Professor Komla Agbeko Dzisi is yet to be arrested.
They have since been granted bail after their statements were taken.
