Dear Young Political Ventriloquist,
I've summed up enough bravura to pen you this. This craving to write to you has been steaming up in my cauldron of rants, and thankfully I get to serve them hot on your mental plate this morning.
There is absolutely nothing wrong in making your voice heard on discourses pertaining to politics; after all the price we pay for using a public loo is even determined by politics. But, I'm pretty concerned about your demeanor, how you have managed to enmesh yourself in political ventriloquism is a total smack of disrespect to your generation. You have allowed your thinking faculty to be reduced to a puppeteered dummy.
But have you come to ask yourself whether wards/children of the politician whose cause you are sweatingly championing would even do this? Are you aware they are busily chasing academic laurels in Europe, America, Asia, etc? Are you aware their politician parents are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to enable them climb to the apex of academic bragging rights? And do know you after their rich exposure abroad, they join the political ladder; continuing from where their parents ended their service? And this is a ladder which was built through your blood and sweat.
What becomes of you and you generation? The charade goes on and on. The baton of poverty is set in high motion. I will give you a perfect example; Dr. Zanetor Rawlings recently got registered as voter after she had won a slot to represent Osu Klottey on the ticket of the NDC. Where has she been all these years? Keep the answer to yourself.
What do you get in return? A Top Creation and Fruit of the Loom customized party T-shirts. Are you not worth more than these? Has it occurred to you that, no matter a resplendent economy the politician builds; which is highly a mirage, you're responsible for what you become?
Does it strike you in decades to come it is you posterity will judge but not the politician whose vision you were fronting? How you spent your youthful energies towards 'gutter' politics instead of building your own future. Most of these politicians do not have a job of their own, so having the assurance they could give you one is akin to clutching on the promises of a naked man. It is only a stooge who falls prey to it.
I tell you this, if you can redirect about 60% of the energies you have allocated to political ventriloquism to matters of your destiny, the fate of your bloodline would be hair-rising. If you can go through such stress in the name of politics but cannot do same to change the hands of fate to your advantage, you are a special specie of a homo sapien.
I bet you the politician thinks you don't know this and you are too gullible to understand anything. He thinks you are unrepentant fool whose testicles can be stepped back and forth. The reason they see political offices as their right but not a privilege.
If you don't sit yourself down and work on your destiny, a stranger will hire you at a nought cost to help them build theirs. A word to the wise...
