Ghanaian gospel musician Diana Hamilton has revealed that she experiences stage fright despite her acclaimed performances at major events.

Speaking to Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, she recounted a situation where she felt sick prior to an event.

“I do a lot. I remember one time I did what we call A Dine With Diana at Movenpick Hotel. At a point I thought I was unwell. I felt like I had a fever. I was having chills. I had to get in the bed and cover myself a bit,” she said.

Asked if she had the same feeling during her performance at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, Diana answered in the affirmative.

She also noted that what people described as “composure”, “aura” and “steeze” was a result of paying attention to the loops in the instrumentation so that she would not derail from the performance.

At the TGMA ceremony, Diana sang about five different songs within six minutes. Many music lovers and critics lauded her performance and costume.

Diana Hamilton is one of Ghana’s prominent contemporary gospel musicians, with a career spanning several years. Her music has earned her a strong following in Ghana and among Ghanaian communities abroad.

She has also built a reputation for combining traditional gospel influences with contemporary sounds, with songs such as Adom, My Meditations, Ahe Ye, Yehowa Behwe and Mo Ne Yo, further establishing her presence in Ghana’s gospel music scene.

In the meantime she is out with a new song titled Nyame Banbofo.
