Asante Kotoko Coach Masud Didi Dramani insists his side will win the First Capital Plus premier league despite their recent poor form.
Kotoko’s unimpressive form in the second round continued as they drew 1-1 with Berekum Chelsea at the Berekum Golden City park on Sunday.
Midfielder Richard Mpong’s 49th minute equalizer after striker Akorah Gyimah had given Chelsea the lead in the first half saved the Porcupine Warriors from two successive defeats in their title charge.
Despite the draw the defending Ghana premier league champions lead the summit with 9 points.
“We showed that we were capable of getting back into the game, the unfortunate aspect is that we couldn’t get a win to extend our lead and the points between us and the second placed team has reduced but that doesn’t deter us,” said Dramani
“If you look at the English premiership the point difference is very slim and we have hope that we will win so many matches and widen the gap and then give our players the chance to recuperate especially those that have injuries.
“Unfortunately the game of football is always like that at times when you anticipate that you come out with a win you don’t get it all, at times you look for a draw and you win so we just have to keep working hard.”
