Dr. Ayesha Salima Hakeem, A Community Relations Consultant, Trade and Investment Expert, an Attorney and CSR specialist has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of CSR Foundation Ghana.The Board of Trustees is the highest decision making body of the Foundation and with its technical Committees play a supervisory and facilitative role and coordinates and collaborates with the Chief Executive Officer who is the head of administration to ensure the execution of all programmes and activities of the Foundation.As a member of Board of Trustees she will be expected to bring her very rich experience to bear on all decisions of the Board to shape and enhance the strategic direction and position of the Foundation as the lead advocate for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the country.The decision for the appointment of Dr. Hakeem was affirmed at the first Board of Trustees meeting of the Foundation which was held at the Alisa Hotel.The meeting also discussed the strategic program for the year for the Foundation which seeks to partner all stakeholders (Business, Government, Civil Society Organisations) to promote good corporate and civic responsibility and citizenship in the country.The Board of Trustees of the Foundation is chaired by the eminent PR Consultant and CSR Expert Mr. Joseph Emmanuel Allotey-Pappoe.Other members of the Board include, Mr. Willing Vanderpuije, Retired Banker and Corporate Affairs Practitioner and Vice Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Boahene Asamoah Marketing Communications Practitioner, Mr. Kweku Rockson, Communications Consultant and CSR Specialist, Mrs. Vicky Wireko-Andoh Public Relations and Communications Consultant, Professor Robert Ebo Hinson Chair, Growth and Employment Platform, Building Stronger Universities Project, University of Ghana and Mr. Byron Nana Taylor Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation.The Foundation also has a prestigious council chaired by Dr. Joyce Aryee, Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministries and strong advocate for Corporate Social Responsibility.Other members on the council include Mr. George Blankson, commissioner general Ghana Revenue Authority, Benjamin Aryee, chief executive officer Ghana Minerals Commission, Mr. Samuel Afari Dartey chief executive officer Ghana Forestry Commission. Mrs. Nyamikeh Kyaimeh commissioner of the national insurance commission, Mr. James Kwamena Anaman an investor relations specialist and former president of the chamber of mines, Mr. Edwin Barnes, a former Chief Director at the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology and Mrs. Elaine Kwami human resource, public and community relations specialist are the other members on the council.SignedByron Nana Taylor
