Ghana’s best late afternoon radio show ‘Drivetime on Joy’ is packed with loads of fun and excitement come December 2021.
The radio show which uses the hashtag #DriveOnJoy on Twitter is largely known for treating listeners to a daily dose of great music playlist, interspersed with the dissemination of relevant information, unadulterated news, and quality education.
Host, Lexis Bill and his seasoned team of producers led by Philip Nai are gearing up for a memorable period, starting December 1 through till the end of the year.

Revealing his intentions to his vital team members including Anita Teye, Mirabel Johnson, Abeiku Sankofi, and Christian Kumi, host Lexis Bill stated, “Christmas is a very special time of the year”.
He encouraged ardent followers of the show to "stay tuned in to the best late afternoon radio show for our line of exciting activities this Yuletide”.
The team brings to your cars, offices, schools, and homes, a fun-packed radio experience that you cannot afford to miss, every Monday through to Friday, from 3;00 pm to 5:30 pm.
Prior to and during the remembrance of the significant birth of Jesus Christ, the following are some exclusive activities that will be birthed forth on ‘Drivetime on Joy’ this December.
Daily Celebrity Hangouts
Starting December 1, celebrities will pass through the Drivetime show daily.
This includes music artists, actors, comedians, etc. Foreign artists are eligible for booking. Mode of communication on the show for foreign artistes will be via zoom.

Live Concerts / Standup Comedy
As part of hanging out on the Drivetime show, artists will perform their songs, live, on instrumentals, or live bands.
Gospel musicians will be on the show on Mondays, while secular artistes come on Fridays.
Comedians on the other hand will have a number of minutes to perform in a stand-up comedy.

Paddies Hangouts
Weekly, listeners would call in and answer random questions about the Drivetime show. They stand a chance to win for themselves an all-expense paid hangout with 4 more friends of their choice.

Christmas Carols Sing-Alongs
Christmas carols should be infused into the daily playlist on the show. Also, listeners will call in and sing along to random Christmas carols. Celebrities who pass through the show would be put on a spot to also sing along random Christmas carols.

Voicenotes
This daily feature will require listeners to send in WhatsApp voice notes requesting a song of their choice. Listeners can also send in their thoughts on drive express and drive chat via WhatsApp voice notes.
Traffic Watch
This is to update our listeners on the traffic situations in and around Accra and beyond. Listeners will also have the chance to inform the general public about the traffic happenings from their respective locations and this will be done via text or phone call.

Drivetime on Joy in December 2021 promises to blow your mind with excitement. You can also be part of the fun, as we will invite some loyal listeners to join the team in the studio of Joy 99.7 fm, to have a feel of radio broadcasting in real time.
