Ebony FC have earned a hard-fought promotion to the 2025/26 Ghana National Division One League (Zone II) after defeating Benab FC 2-1 in a thrilling encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The decisive match, part of the Ashanti Region Division Two Promotional Tournament, saw Ebony FC rise to the occasion with a spirited performance that sealed their place among Ghana’s elite second-tier clubs.
Benab FC broke the deadlock with a well-worked goal in the first half, but Ebony FC responded strongly to level the score in the second half.
