Former MP for Ningo-Prampram has been elected as the Greater Accra representative on the Council of State.
At the end of the elections, Enoch Teye Mensah won the slot with 100% votes all going in his favour.
This happened Friday, February 12, during the elections conducted by the Electoral Commission for new regional representatives to the Council of State.
102 candidates from 16 regions filed to contest the election which is being held at all regional capitals across the country.

Out of this number, six contested to represent the Greater Accra of which some withdrew from the race prior to the conduct of the elections.
However, out of the six E.T Mensah emerged winner, amassing all votes cast, the Greater Accra Regional Director of the Electoral Commission, Kwame Amoah confirmed.
ET Mensah served as MP for Ningo Prampram for almost a decade. He has also been a Minister for Education. Among other things, he has served as the Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly and the Minority Chief Whip in parliament.
