After coming back from a losing position to win 4-2 against Portugal, Germany go into the last round of group stage matches with the aim of hopefully clinching top spot with a victory over Hungary on Wednesday.
Joachim Low’s men started the campaign poorly, losing 1-0 to France in their first game but made amends in the second.
Hungary, who have their qualification hopes on thin ice, hope to cause an upset. The Magyars suffered a 3-0 defeat to Portugal on matchday one and held France to a 1-1 draw on matchday two.
Germany to win close game
Hungary will no doubt give it their all in the final game. However, Germany are expected to prevail in an intense battle.
The Magyars showed their seriousness in the competition by battling it out with competition favorites France to a 1-1 draw and could bring the same energy against Germany.
Joachim Low’s side however will be confident of a victory after coming back to secure a 4-2 victory over Portugal on matchday two.
The odds
Germany are favorites in this match with their odds priced at 1.18 by Betway. Hungary, in comparison, have their chances of winning priced at 13.68. A draw has been pinned at 7.25.
