The Ghana Football Association has not ruled out the possibility of Norwegian born goalkeeper of Ghanaian descent Adam Kwarasey joining the Black Stars in the near future.
The 21-year-old had hoped that his nationality switch would have been ratified by Fifa in the run up to the 2010 World Cup but that did not happen.
The goalkeeper has been competitive abroad after sterling performances for his Norwegian side Stromsgodset raising questions why the FA has not yet processed his switch.
But the Ghana Football Association Vice President Fred Pappoe says what has stalled the process is that Kwarasey will forfeit his Norwegian citizenship if he decides to play for Ghana as Norwegian laws do not allow dual citizenship and that is a difficult decision for the young lad.
"He has to make a decision whether he wants to play for Ghana or Norway. We don't have the dual nationality with Norway and its entirely left to him," he said.
Kwarasey will provide credible alternative for the aging Richard Kingson.
