Musician Fameye has stated that the outbreak of the coronavirus has not affected his finances like it has for some of his colleagues.
He was reacting to rapper Edem’s claim that artistes are hungry because the royalty and payment systems have failed them.
EVERY ARTISTE IN GHANA IS HUNGRY.SOME MIGHT JUST NOT SAY IT....LETS ALL DO SO THE WORLD KNOWS HOW OUR SYSTEM BE YAWA ABD IN THIS CORONA TIMES ARTISTES ARE SUFFERING #Gbevunation #9god #TRUTH

He wrote on twitter that music is a serious job as any hence artistes should be able to depend solety on it for their survival.
We should be making money and helping tinned if young acts..But each time we sign them they have to go in a few years Cos our systems never pays what we deserve and what’s rightfully ours..We are all about shows shows shows..Which artiste can still be active at 70 ..None

Fameye stated that although he agrees that coronavirus has exposed the system in the industry he does not wholeheartedly agree with Edem.
According to him, his shows have been cancelled while others postponed but he still has enough revenue from his works to take care of himself.
“We are all not hungry,” he said in an interview with Hitz FM’s Kady.
He explained that he has also invested in other ventures like farming which is helping him cash in more money.
“Coronavirus not has affected me to that point I can’t do anything,” he added.
