GCB Bank has appointed Farihan Alhassan as its new Managing Director, following the stepping down of Mr. Kofi Adomako after the "mutual and amicable agreement" between him and the bank, a statement issued by the bank has said.
At 44, Mr. Alhassan brings two decades of banking experience to the role.
Before joining GCB Bank, Mr. Alhassan was the Executive in Charge of Business and Commercial Banking at Stanbic Bank Ghana, where he led efforts to enhance customer engagement and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
His career began at Barclays Bank (now Absa), where he became the youngest regional manager at age 26, later serving as Head of Retail and Distribution.
Mr. Alhassan’s appointment is expected to drive innovation and customer-focused strategies at GCB Bank.
