FBNBank Ghana has launched a savings campaign to promote the culture of saving among Ghanaians, and also to deepen customers’ understanding of the bank’s viable financial offerings.
Dubbed “FBNBankGhana Save and Win,” the maiden promotion is designed to broaden the bank’s customer base by connecting with the unbanked population through excellent products and services that meet their financial needs.
Giving details at the launch in Accra, the Managing Director of the bank, Mr. Gbenga Odeyemi, said the savings promotion will provide the bank the opportunity to show gratitude to existing customers, who had kept faith with it as well as potential customers that would sign up for their services.
“The FBNBank brand has a rich heritage of strength and dynamism and we’re committed to meeting the needs of our different stakeholder groups. Our maiden Save and Win promotion seeks to make financial services readily available to Ghanaians from all walks of life. We encourage every Ghanaian and members of the public to participate in this promo, and stand the chance of winning good quality prizes,” Mr. Gbenga said.
Promo details
To enter or qualify for the promotion, customers need to make a deposit of GH₵200.00 or multiples of it into an existing or new individual savings or current account.
According to Mr. Gbenga Odeyemi “each GH₵200.00 deposit earns a customer one point. However, all customers who at the start of the promotion had a minimum balance of GH₵1,000.00 in their accounts, would get one point for every GH₵1,000.00 as advance points up to a maximum of 10 points.”
The advance points, he said, would be earned only on incremental basis for as long as customer deposits remain in the account during the period of the promotion. He noted that customers would have to maintain a minimum of GH₵1,000.00 in their individual current or savings accounts to be able to participate in the three monthly draws and the grand draw.

Transparency
To ensure credibility and transparency, Mr. Gbenga explained that all eligible customers who have met the terms and conditions underlying the saving promotion would be entered into draws that would be supervised by the National Lottery Authority and through which, the winners would emerge. In all the four draws, a total of 40 customers, comprising 10 winners in each of the three mini draws and the grand draw would win prizes ranging from LED Television sets, Fridges, washing machines, Gas Cookers, Laptops, Ipads and Smartphones among others.
Eligibility
According to Mr. Gbenga Odeyemi, all existing customers of the FBNBank Ghana, as well as prospective customers are eligible to participate in the promo. He noted, however, that “the bank’s staff, their families, agency partners and vendors of the bank and their families are exempted from participating in the promo.”
The FBNBank Save and Win promo runs from September 2017, to the end of December this year with the following monthly draws: October 6, 2017 (1st mini draw), November 7, 2017 (2nd mini draw), December 7, 2017 (3rd mini draw) and January 12, 2018 (Grand draw).
