A three-bedroom residential building at Boadua in the Denkyembour District was severely damaged following a fire outbreak on Saturday, February 7.
The fire reportedly broke out in the morning, prompting residents to alert emergency services at around 10:02 a.m.
However, response efforts were delayed due to the unavailability of a fire tender at both the Akwatia Fire Post and the Kade Fire Station, the nearest units to the area.

Some personal belongings were salvaged with the help of residents and responders, but much of the property was lost to the blaze.

Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were recorded, as occupants were able to escape before the fire fully spread.
The cause of the fire has not yet been officially determined. Residents have renewed calls for improved fire response capacity in the district to prevent similar losses in the future.
