TV shows these days are rarely captivating. So when OM Studios came to The Statesman with news of Fusion, their unique and exciting reality TV show, we were hot on our heels to follow up. Upbeat, amusing and informative, the programme will be hitting television sets nationwide tomorrow - Thursday 17th May, on TV 3 at 10pm – and every Thursday. Competing with international entertainment programmes, Fusion is billed to hit the high notes with its unique style of presentation, range of subjects and both public and celebrity interaction. Talking to Kobby Odoom, acting General Manager of Strategic Communication Ltd, he explained that the show is separated into three parts, which makes for a varied and dynamic show. The first part of the show delves straight into the top 10 music countdown with their videos. From the comfort of your sofa you get to watch your favourite artists doing what they know best, as well as a range of popular music – lots of hip-life, hi-life and gospel. Viewers are given the opportunity to predict who wins the chart by texting – the highest winner gets a prize. The second part of the show: 'Town link' sees a lovely lady take to the streets to question the public about their opinions and views of music and entertainment. This interaction with the public gives the show an interesting dimension as contrasting views are freely aired. The personality profile is undoubtedly what will make this show a real hit. Fusion calls on a different celebrity each week and interviews them at a location of their choice – to avoid the rehearsed feel of a studio and to get them comfortable and talking! The host, Abeiku Santana, ensures an in-depth chat, with past footage from their early career as well as their recent excursions, keeping us in their pipeline. The show's engaging style can be credited to Abeiku’s spontaneous and witty character. Known for ‘Waa ka wu be den’, the popular chat show that brought social issues to the spotlight; this show is currently on a break. His informal celebrity chat’s with footballers and musicians to politicians and actors, including Kwami Sefa Kayi, Samini and King Ayisoba to mention a few – unlock for us their humble and narcissist personalities.
