The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced that it will conduct a Land Combat Fire Power Demonstration Exercise at the Bundase Training Camp on Friday, October 31, 2025.
In a statement signed by Captain V. A. Arhin, Acting Director-General of Public Relations, the Armed Forces said the exercise forms part of efforts to test the operational readiness of its troops in defending the country against external aggression.
The event, which will involve the use of live ammunition, explosives, and heavy military equipment, is expected to produce loud sounds and visible flashes during the exercise.
GAF has therefore advised the public, especially residents of Dawhenya and its surrounding areas, to stay away from the training grounds and not to panic over the movement of troops, military vehicles, or the sound of gunfire and explosions that may be heard in the area.
“The Ghana Armed Forces assures the general public that all necessary safety measures have been put in place to ensure the security of both residents and participants throughout the exercise,” the statement said.
The Armed Forces also appealed for the cooperation of the public to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the drill.
