GameX Triathlon opens in Accra

The maiden edition of GameX Triathlon Accra will be held at the Lizzy’s Sports Complex, East Legon in August 2013. The event will go on for three consecutive Fridays, August, 2nd, 16th and 30th, 2013, with participants competing in a FIFA-13 tournament. GameX Triathlon Accra is an evening social event created to provide a relaxing environment after working hours. It is a gaming entertainment platform that offers a one-stop leisure center for the youth, adults and the working class. It has been packaged with social entertainment activities such as 3-D Movie Screenings, where audience and spectators can request their all-time movies, which will be screened in the 3-D format. Also, there will be Poetry (spoken word performances), Karaoke Sessions (before and after the tournaments) and Celebrity Game Showdowns, where participants will have the privilege to play games with some of Ghana’s favourite celebrities. Participants and qualifiers of the stages will be awarded with prizes from the first two game nights. The overall winner, after the third and final game night shows, will take home a cash prize of one thousand, five hundred (GH¢1,500.00) Ghana Cedis, products from supporters and a trophy. All 1st and 2nd runner-ups will receive one thousand (GH¢1, 000.00) Ghana Cedis and five hundred (GH¢500.00) Ghana Cedis and products respectively from supporters. GameX Triathlon is an initiative of RICS Consult Limited, a Public Relations and Integrated Marketing Communications Consultancy firm and it is supported by GameOver Channel, social event providers in the USA; Yougora; Ebenezer Chemists; Xigi’s Eatery Osu; Real Peoples Company (RPC); Bubbles Laundry; Samsung, Sevencorp; Gogurt, Savannah Springs and Lizzy Sports Complex.
