Assemblyman for Anyako, Wisdom Seade, has bemoaned the lack of accommodation for staff of Anlo Awoamefia Senior High School in the Keta Municipality.
Speaking to JoyNews, he said Anlo Awoamefia SHS which is one of the few schools in the municipality has had its staff bungalow abandoned for over 25 years.
Mr Seade noted that academic work is affected since staff report to school at odd hours.
"Just imagine the teachers who stay in Akatsi, Abor and other towns far from Anyako, they sometimes come to school on bikes or commercial cars late and it is really affecting us," he said.
According to him, just a few teachers reside on campus and the structures provided are small.
He added that students are unable to undertake experiments as laboratories have also been abandoned.
A staff who also spoke to the JoyNews team narrated that: "When I came here my colleagues and I lived in cubicles for 4 years and we were unable to supervise our students in the boarding house. It is really affecting us".
To address the challenges, Mr Wisdom Seade and the staff have called on the government to come to their aid by completing the project started over 25 years ago to aid academic work.
