The Ghana FA is in the process of acquiring communication gadgets for referees.
The communication device is one of the main features in the more established leagues especially in Europe used to share information between the center referee and his assistants.
The gadgets which are very expensive are being acquired to improve general officiating of matches in Ghana.
“There was a request for this referee communications gadget and it was approved, therefore the FA will be taking steps towards acquiring them,” Referee’s Committee boss Randy Abbey disclosed on Asempa FM.
“I don’t know whether it will be ready by the time the season starts but clearly there is an attempt to raise the standards of refereeing in Ghana.”
The acquisition of the modern technology is one of other initiatives being taken by the Referees Committee to raise the standards of refereeing in Ghana.
