The Ghana Netherlands Chamber of Commerce and Culture (GHANECC) has metamorphosed into the Ghana Netherlands Business and Culture Council (GNBCC).
The organisation has therefore merged its networks and activities with the Netherlands African Business Council which is an active organization of Dutch entrepreneurs conducting business in Africa.
The Council would represent the business interests of both Ghanaian and Dutch companies while working closely together with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ghana.
Victor Rutgers, President of GNBCC at the launch of the Council in Accra stressed the vibrant economic partnerships and business relationships that exist between Ghana and the Netherlands.
"The main objective of the GNBCC is to facilitate and build upon these business relationships to the benefit of both Ghana and Netherlands," he said.
Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Kwesi Amissah Arthur expressed hopes the council would make Ghana more attractive to investors around the world.
"The important thing for me about the GNBCC is the role of policy advocacy that I think you will play. That this would also be a way in which you help us formulate policy and change policy in conformity with what is happening in the rest of the world," the Vice President added.
The event also saw the launch of the book “Doing Business in Ghana” which is expected to support corporate entities to perform their operations seamlessly by making the requisite regulatory, financial and business-related information available to them.
