The Ghana-Russia Centre for Commerce and Relations, a Ghanaian non-profit organisation working closely with the Russian community in Ghana, is set to bring joy to the children of Pakro-Zongo, a community along the Nsawam-Adawso stretch in the Eastern Region.
The donation forms part of the Centre's corporate social responsibility initiatives. According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana-Russia Centre, John Aggrey, the donation is important as it helps to improve the lives of vulnerable individuals, especially children.

He said, "As part of our social and humanitarian agenda, this project is one of our initiatives to respond to the call for assistance from communities. The importance of giving back lies in addressing social challenges and fostering community resilience."
Mr Aggrey mentioned that the aid would be supported by both Ghanaian and international organisations.
“Other partners supporting this effort in various ways include the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ghana, HIRED Consult, HIRED Media, Grazey Shoes & More, and the Hand to Hand Association of Ghana (HSAG),” he said.
In addition to the donation, the children will also enjoy live musical performances and other entertaining activities as part of the efforts to bring joy to them this Christmas.
Head of Social Projects at the Center, Ziona Ayorkor Biney, on her part thanked the various individuals and organisations that have contributed to the initiative.
She believes that the move will go a long way in making the children feel happy during the yuletide and throughout the Christmas season.
