400m runner Emmanuel Dasor could represent the country at this year’s IAAF World Championship in London after meeting the qualification time.
Dasor, who also specializes in 200m, run a time of 45.43 seconds at C-USA Outdoor Championships in Texas (USA) to make him eligible for the championship in August.
Dasor becomes the second Ghanaian to make the time for the Championship after 200m runner, Janet Amponsah sealed her berth in April.
The 21-year-old could be participating in his eighth major competition in his career should he be selected for making the qualification time.
The US-based Western Kentucky University Athlete has already represented Ghana at the World Junior Championships, Commonwealth Games, African Championships, All African Games, World Indoor Championships and Olympic Games.
