Ghana international Joseph Aidoo made his competitive return to the field over the weekend in Celta Vigo's win over Real Valladolid.
The central defender came off the bench for the final minutes of his side's 3-1 win in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday evening.
Aidoo replaced Javi Rodriguez in the 89th minute of the game to record his first minutes of the season having been an unused substitute in their previous games.
The 28-year-old had been out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury which he sustained while playing for the Black Stars in October 2023.
Aidoo came off in the 28th minute of the friendly against Mexico with the injury forcing him to miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations as well as the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
Aidoo spent 257 days on the sidelines due to the injury and only rejoined the Celta Vigo team for pre-season ahead of the new campaign.
Following his first minutes, the defender will be looking to get more minutes under his belt and hope for a possible return to the Black Stars set-up.
