Executives elect in the Ghana Institute of Management Studies (GIMPA) Student Representative Council (SRC) elections have been sworn-in.
The ceremony took place at the GB auditorium on Saturday, June 4, 2015.
The event had been delayed for some weeks due to an injunction secured to stop the process.
In short addresses to the students, new SRC president Samuel Anim Addo, aka ASA, noted that he has come to change and improve student’s conditions.
“I believe that for us to achieve the greatest success for our institution, all of us, especially those who contested the elections, must come together and support this administration. Your campaign messages and enthusiasm to lead must not die,” he said
“The time has come to bury our differences and fight a common course. Ladies and gentlemen, I value this call to serve because it is an opportunity to build a great leadership legacy and to champion the cause of our students through hard-work, selflessness and integrity.
“I am pledging to the entire students of GIMPA that my administration will not merely occupy positions but will work and deliver on our promises.
“Working together with great minds like you, I am hopeful that in a year's time, we would be handing over the leadership baton with pride.”
The New SRC executives sworn in are; Samuel Anim Addo (ASA)- President, Michael Kwabena Amoah-Vice President, Madam Ofosua- Secretary, Angelina Atuobi- Treasurer and Kafui Seshie- Women’s commissioner.
