Defending Champion of the Accra Milo Marathon, Godwin Adukpo beat competition from over four thousand runners to retain his crown at the weekend.
Adukpo is now four time winner of the competition and is one win shy of record five time winner John Zigah who failed to show up in the first ten spot in this year’s race.
Adukpo completed the 42.2 kilometer race in 2:28:40 seconds followed closely by Kassim Mohammed of the Ghana Armed Forces at 2:30:50 seconds.
Adukpo will represent Ghana at the Amsterdam Marathon later in the year and says this has been his toughest race yet.
In the Female division Millicent Boadi continued her dominance as she recorded her sixth straight win at the weekend followed by Agnes Mahama.
