Former Black Stars player and African football legend, Ibrahim Sunday, has called on Ghana’s government to do more to support sports development in the country.
His comment comes after Ghana missed the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
In an interview with Asempa FM, Sunday explained that governments around the world play an important role in improving sports.
He encouraged Ghana to follow their example by providing better support for athletes and sports facilities.
"I think that the government needs to help with sports development in the country," he said.
"We are in Ghana, but we know what other governments in other countries are doing to develop their sports."
