Newly promoted side Eleven Wonders earned a point in their opening game of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) season on Sunday. September 14.
Wonders played out a goalless game against Basake Holy Stars to kickstart their campaign in Ghana’s top flight following their promotion.
Having survived relegation last season, Holy Stars came into the game at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena as the favourites but were unable to beat Wonders.
The two teams had opportunities to unsettle each other in the course of the game but fluffed their lines in all occasions.
Despite the nervy moments in the game, the two teams were unable to find the back of the net as the game ended 0-0.
The result was one of three scoreless games recorded in the opening weekend of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
